Introducing the Collector Score: A New Way to Showcase Your Upland Prestige!

Collectors, the moment you’ve been waiting for is finally here! We’re thrilled to announce the open beta of a brand-new scoring system in Upland: the Collector Score. Designed to celebrate the art of collecting, this new feature will provide collectors with a way to measure their prowess and prestige like never before.

What is the Collector Score?

The Collector Score is a system that tracks and evaluates your collections of Block Explorers, Season Passes, City Passes, and Badges. By holding and owning these items, you can climb the ranks and prove your collecting expertise.

Note: burned items won’t count toward your score, so keep your treasures intact!

This score provides a fresh data point for players and collectors to compete, strategize, and showcase their achievements. While the system is in open beta, it will exist outside the Upland platform, featured on leaderboards that track all players’ collections. This allows us to monitor, tweak, and perfect the scoring system with the ultimate goal of integrating it directly into the game.

Seasonal vs. All-Time Leaderboards

The Collector Score introduces two types of leaderboards to reward players for both seasonal activity and long-term dedication:

Seasonal Leaderboard

Resets every six weeks, coinciding with new Upland seasons.
Tracks all related collectibles released during the current season, emphasizing engagement and activity.
At the end of each season, prizes are awarded to top-performing players.

The leaderboard will be finalized only after the season ends and all rewards have been distributed from seasonal challenges. In the event of a tie, the first player to reach the points total will claim the higher position.

All-Time Leaderboard

Tracks a player’s cumulative score over time.
Reflects the overall prestige, historical value, and strategic depth of a player’s collection.
Rewards long-term commitment to the game and the community.

Note: The leaderboards are set to launch next week, with notification to follow, The seasonal leaderboard will track since the beginning of the Wonderland Season, stay tuned.

Wonderland Season: The First Seasonal Challenge

The Wonderland Season is the inaugural Seasonal Collectors Score Leaderboard, running until January 15 at 9:00 AM PT. Players will compete for incredible rewards, including unique items that will boost their Collector Score even further.

Here’s what’s up for grabs:

1st-3rd Place: Wonderland Tycoon Block Explorer, 1,000 $SPARKLET, and a Season Collector Score Badge.
4th-10th Place: Wonderland Tycoon Block Explorer and 500 $SPARKLET.
11th-25th Place: Wonderland Tycoon Block Explorer.

How is the Collector Score Calculated?

Your score is calculated based on several components, with weighting to reflect their significance:

Block Explorers (BEs) — 30%
Passes (Season & City) — 20%
Badges — 50%

Block Explorers

Block Explorers are a cornerstone of the Collector Score, reflecting both the rarity and historical significance of your collection. Each Block Explorer’s attributes contribute uniquely to your score:

Age: Older Block Explorers carry more weight due to their rarity and historical value.
Mint Total: Lower mint totals signify greater rarity and prestige.
Mint Number: Lower mint numbers are more prestigious.
Director Block Explorers: Scored equally across all accounts to ensure fairness.

Passes

Season Passes and City Passes are key indicators of engagement. Each pass owned contributes to your Collector Score, with rarer versions of Season Passes offering higher point contributions.

Badges

Badges symbolize your achievements and contributions within Upland. As the most heavily weighted component, they play a vital role in your score.

Badge rarity is determined by the number of players holding the badge, with rarer badges contributing more significantly to your Collector Score.
