Introducing Vehicle Charging with $SPARKLET — The Next Evolution of Car Travel in Upland!

We’re thrilled to unveil a powerful new utility for $SPARKLET with the launch of Vehicle Charging in Upland! Starting now, you can use $SPARKLET to power up your cars and begin your journey into the future of travel in the Upland Metaverse.

Vehicle charging has officially launched, marking the first phase of integrating $SPARKLET into Upland’s transportation system. In Phase 1, car charging is available for all car vehicle types except Go-Karts. In the future, private planes will also require charging with $SPARKLET.

In this first phase, charging is only required for travel, but in Phase 2, we’re excited to extend charging requirements to racing, too!

How Charging Works

To keep your Upland cars ready for travel, charging is now an essential requirement. Here’s how to get started:

Check Your Charge Status: The charge level for each of your vehicles is displayed on the NFT’s full screen.

Start Charging: Simply tap the “Charge” button on the vehicle’s NFT screen. Here, you’ll be able to stake $SPARKLET to initiate charging.

Optimize Charge Time: The more $SPARKLET you stake, the faster your vehicle will charge. Once fully charged (or if you decide to remove your stake), your $SPARKLET is returned to you.

Each car model has a unique maximum range, defining how far it can travel on a full charge. As you plan your trip, Upland will show which destinations are within your car’s current range and mark cities that exceed this limit as “Out of Range.”

Upon arriving at your destination, your car’s charge level will update based on the distance traveled.
