$SPARKLET Power Adjustment: Aligning In-Game Value with the Real World

Over the past year, $SPARKLET has played a key role in expanding Upland’s presence in the Web3 and crypto community.

With its launch on external exchanges, players have been able to realize real-world value from their in-game assets, further bridging the gap between virtual and real economies. This milestone has not only enhanced Upland’s visibility in the broader blockchain space but has also created new opportunities for players to engage with the evolving digital economy.

As previously stated in our white paper, regular adjustments to $SPARKLET in-game are necessary to ensure balance and maintain alignment with its real-world value. This has always been part of the plan, and now it’s time for the first in-game adjustment. Moving forward, these adjustments will take place on a quarterly basis. This adjustment will go live in Upland in the coming days.

What’s Changing?

The upcoming adjustment will focus on $SPARKLET power in the game. Here’s what to expect:

• Sparklet Power Decrease: Power will be reduced to ⅓ of its current value.
• Max Stake Increase: The maximum stake limit will be tripled (3x).

This change means that performing actions in-game will require more $SPARKLET. However, since the max stake is increasing, players will be able to stake more and maintain similar completion times.

Important Note: Ongoing tasks, such as construction, charging, and manufacturing, will not be affected by these adjustments. Any project that is already in progress will continue under the current system.

Adjusted In-Game Items

The following areas will see increased Spark hours and/or adjusted staking limits:

Structures: Increased Spark hours for all building construction.
Factories: Increased max stake cap for all factories.
Factory Access: Higher minimum Spark requirement to open a factory.
Manufacturing: Increased Spark hours for:

• Map assets
• Ornaments
• Aircraft
• Cars/Karts

Car Charging: Increased Spark hours for all vehicle charging.

This is the first of many regular adjustments planned to align $SPARKLET’s in-game economy with its real-world value. These changes have been anticipated and carefully planned, ensuring long-term stability and growth.
